Michiko watched from around the corner, waiting to see if they had been followed.“Uh, my lady ma’am? I’m not your witness, I didn’t see anything, you have the wrong person. I also really shouldn’t be here, like the lord commander said. I understand your high status, a-and I would never question your actions, it’s not my place to do so; but you could get in serious trouble if you’re seen with me.” 

Keysha continued to babble about how this was dangerous and that death didn’t really seem all that appealing.“ I know you’re not my witness, I don’t have a witness. I know you should not be here, and I am not of high status.” Michiko did not look away from the street as she spoke. Keysha stood there dumbfounded.“What?” She said with the notion that she had no comprehension of what Michiko just said. 

Michiko turned her gaze from the street and gently smiled at Keysha.“ You have been rescued?” Michiko shrugged at her own sentence, she wanted answers, but she did not expect to be dragging along a total stranger through a city filled with people who would love to have them both thrown in jail or worse.
