Sun banner Pheasant

The Sun Banner Pheasant is one of the few true birds that the First Super Suprema actually made. They are small and hardy living with in the very small woodlands and what grass land the waists of Atherie provides to its inhabitants. They are a beautiful vision of red and gold vibrant feathers; truly a welcome sight against the constant browns and greys of the land around it. The males display to the females in their breading season and this display is what gives them their name. This pheasant though small and a little defenseless does have a trick or too to survive the waist lands and its constant revolving door of enemies. The first is that these pheasants are very good parents having quiet a lot of chicks and taking care of all of them till adulthood, and they have two clutches of chicks each year quiet literally flooding predators with their numbers. Like their chicken cousins they also can eat a variety of things making them opportunistic generalists with in their habits. Second, they follow bigger herbivores for protection. The last true trick and true gift given to these beautiful birds is the greatest gift that the First Suprema could have given any other of his creations, the gift of true flight. With these tricks these little birds have survived and will continue to survive the ever lasting wasteland that is Atherie.
